And we’re off by 9.15am with fresh bread sandwiches and pain aux raison packed in boxes 4.30 hours and a really nice site les Megalith with massive pitches. Spag Bol tonight so we set off to find a super market. Nice evening in chatting and finishing our wine stocks – nearly

It’s going to thunder today. It did. Massive cracks that made me jump. Weigh in. We have been bad???? but not too incorrectable lol. It cleared up and we went for a cycle to the beach and around ending up in Erdeven to have a crèpe and rosé wine. Back for tea then out to the supermarket to snatch the remains of the €3.35 Bordeaux wine we like and then back for eats and lazy evening.
Wednesday 19/7/17
Once again it’s raining. (I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come). We decide to drive south to the attached island Quiberon which hangs like a pile into the AtlanticOcean.
Going down the west side known as the savage coast we stopped off for a couple of brief walks on the edge of the coast. It is beautiful and rugged with small beaches and rock formations, further down the coast we come to “Le Vivier” (the fishpond) and have a coffee. John asks for moules frite and they were lovely and what a setting to have them mmm. Some more touring and another walk before the rains returns.
A visit to Des Megaliths which are famous in the area, although no one knows there exact purpose.
Stonehenge type rocks in formations from 4000 to 6000 bc. Interesting.
Disaster has struck! I did think as we were arriving in Erdeven something was wrong. It turns out we should have gone to another site further up the coast. We have already booked and paid £99. We are now paying again for this site ????
Thursday 20/7/17
If we pack up and head to the site originally booked we can recoup some of the loss. So at 11.15am that’s what we decide to do. We pay the site and head off and head up the coast to bénodet about 65 miles. Nice place with Allium and hydrangers all through the town. We also think that if the guy will let us stay for 2 nights we would recoup another night and then stay one night in Roscoff. Deal done and we are only £50 down, camping du Poulquer. Bénodet is a really lovely. Classy. We cycle the town, find a supermarket. Eat, then a walk along the front to get our steps up.
It’s chilly out of the sun but we did get some ????

☔️????☔️???? rain, rain rain. Then bed.
Saturday 22/7/17
We travel to Roscoff. Camping Le Trologot. A campsite right on the edge of the sea. The sea was out when we arrived. The sat nav lady had a few moments around this area ????. The bay’s have loads of very spikey rocks that are covered when the sea is in. Nightmare for boats I think. We walked along a nice bay to check out some restaurants for tonight’s final meal. We chose au Quai des íles and got the last table at 7pm. Nice! We ran the sat nav journey to the port going her way and mikes. Sat nav was ok but quite a steep rise from the bay, Mikes went through the town and had an awkward corner. We choose hers.
Showered then out, driving with the changeable weather. We had merlot! It was ok and I had a prawn ball in a cabbage leaf (hot) to start and Monk fish in a mild curry sauce. It came with boiled potato, artichoke heart, celeriac mousse and a ratatouille. Very tasty. I asked for a spoon to finish the sauce. Mike had froi gras with cider jelly and brochette of beef. We both had the assiette of desserts. Lovely meal €101 plus tip
