Found a mooring in Henley-on-Thames in Festival Week

We arrived in Henley-on-Thames the day after the Royal Regatta and the start of Henley Festival week. We expected to sail straight through as most moorings are reserved but at 1.30 pm we actually found the perfect mooring at Mills Meadow Park. So here we are nestled between the the gin palaces. There is a charge of £10 per night but well worth it. The river here is charming and we are close to Henley-on-Thames’ beautiful High Street.

Our tip is that if you intend to stay at any of the tourist hot spots on the Thames, even outside of school holidays, plan to find your moorings at around 1pm to 2pm. To be reasonably sure of finding somewhere
