Sunday morning, we set off up the river lee heading to Broxbourne. The river is very rural and quite beautiful as we enter The Lee Country Park. Only 3 locks today but all are manual and incredibly hard to work. There are so many small day boats out. The Lee Valley Boat Centre being the source. We had hoped to use their facilities but they were so busy with these day hires, they said we would have to wait until Monday. This turned out to be good luck as opposite the boat yard was the perfect mooring, outside The Crown pub. Sunday lunch was on the cards. Paige served us, she was so helpful, top service in an extremely busy pub. 2 roast beef dinners and a bottle of Shiraz £47. Highly recommended.
